About the Authors

A full-time freelance writer and editor, Wendy Burt's work has appeared in such varied publications as Family Circle, American Fitness, ePregnancy, Front Range Business Magazines, Complete Woman, Woman's Own, Grit, Cub Foods' Family Life, Church Production Magazine, Distribution Channels, and The Nemours Foundation's KidsHealth.org.

In addition to her two books with Erin, Wendy's 10 years of freelance writing credits include articles, reviews, stories, greeting cards, essays, poems and fillers. She's been a columnist for several magazines and newspapers, including a Healthy Home column in Nexus. She was a contributing writer for the book, "In the Shadow of Pikes Peak: An Illustrated History of Colorado Springs." Wendy has worked as an editor for a business newspaper and a magazine, and freelance projects include editing a fiction book for an award-winning author, a dissertation, numerous proposals and queries, and business correspondence.

She has been teaching "Breaking Into Freelance Writing" for five years and she is the founder of Just C.A.W.S., the Creative Alliance of Women's Support, a 200+-member creative women's group in Colorado Springs. Wendy was named one of Colorado Springs' top businesswomen at the age of 30 and has won several awards, including Company MVP for the Perry Corporation and first place for PEN Women's 2003 Soul-making Literary Contest.
